Job summary

THE ROOF DEPOT LLC in Orlando is looking for a Lead Roofing Technician to oversee installation, maintenance, and repair of commercial roofing systems. You will lead a team, ensure safety, and deliver projects on time and to spec.

The role requires extensive hands-on experience, leadership skills, and the ability to read construction documents. Valid driver’s license and the ability to pass background and drug screening are expected; competitive pay based on experience.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of commercial roofing experience, including 2+ years in a leadership role.
• Strong understanding of safety protocols and OSHA standards.
• Ability to read and interpret construction documents.
• Effective communication and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and participate in installation, repair, and maintenance of commercial roofing systems.
• Lead, train, and mentor a roofing technician; ensure work is performed safely.
• Interpret project specifications and manufacturer installation instructions.
• Conduct daily safety meetings and ensure OSHA compliance.
• Inspect completed work for quality and adherence to specs.
• Coordinate with project managers, suppliers, and subcontractors.
• Maintain accurate documentation including reports and timecards.
• Operate and maintain tools and equipment safely.
• Identify and troubleshoot roofing issues and propose solutions.
