Job summary

Staxmatic is a fast-growing mechanical and plumbing contractor delivering large-scale commercial projects across healthcare, education, and high-rise developments. The Commercial Plumbing Superintendent will lead field operations, supervise crews, and ensure on-time, on-budget execution in compliance with codes, safety, and quality standards.

The role partners with PMs and GC teams, coordinates trades, reviews drawings, manages RFIs and shop drawings, and drives scheduling and safety on site.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of experience supervising plumbing work on large-scale commercial construction projects.
• Proven experience managing all phases of commercial plumbing including underground, rough-in, above-ground, and trim-out.
• Journeyman Plumber license or higher required.
• OSHA 10 certification required.
• Strong knowledge of plumbing codes, DWV systems, domestic water, storm drainage, and sanitary systems.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, construction drawings, and plumbing specifications.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to meet background check requirements.
• Strong project scheduling, workforce coordination, and deadline management skills.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and physically demanding environments.

Responsibilities

• Direct and mentor plumbing crews across all commercial construction phases.
• Manage daily crew assignments, productivity tracking, and workforce scheduling to meet milestones.
• Conduct toolbox talks, enforce OSHA safety standards, and maintain required safety documentation.
• Monitor job site quality for rough-in, underground, above-ground plumbing work to code.
• Maintain daily field reports and progress updates for management.
• Oversee all phases of plumbing scope including underground DWV and water systems.
• Coordinate RFIs, submittals, and shop drawings to avoid field conflicts.
• Identify and resolve field conflicts; promote teamwork across trades.
• Coordinate material, tool, deliveries with vendors and warehouse.
