Job summary

Feldkamp Mechanical is seeking an experienced Foreman Plumber to lead plumbing crews on commercial and industrial construction projects in the Columbus area. You will oversee daily jobsite activities, coordinate manpower and materials, ensure quality workmanship, maintain schedules, and enforce safety standards.

The ideal candidate has 7+ years in commercial/industrial plumbing and at least 3 years in a leadership role, with strong blueprint reading and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Minimum 7 years of commercial or industrial plumbing experience.
• Minimum 3 years of leadership or foreman experience.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and construction documents.
• Strong knowledge of plumbing systems, piping methods, and industry standards.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
• OSHA 10 Certification required.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and lead plumbing crews on commercial and industrial projects.
• Plan and coordinate daily work assignments to maximize productivity.
• Train, mentor, and develop apprentices and journeyman plumbers.
• Coordinate activities with project managers, general contractors, subcontractors, and other trades.
• Monitor employee performance and promote a positive team environment.
• Oversee installation of plumbing systems and review plans for proper installation.
• Coordinate layouts and field measurements to ensure quality workmanship.
• Maintain schedules and manage material, equipment, and tool deliveries.
• Ensure compliance with project specs, codes, and safety requirements.
• Document daily reports and timekeeping for jobsite records.
• Identify potential project issues and communicate with management.
