Job summary

Hydro Mechanical in Central Ohio is seeking skilled plumbing professionals for Foreman, Journeyman and Apprentice roles on commercial construction and service projects. You will work in the field on healthcare, schools, restaurants and offices, focusing on safety, quality workmanship, and teamwork.

Responsibilities vary by level: Foreman leads crews, reads blueprints, coordinates with Project Manager and trades; Journeyman installs and repairs plumbing systems; Apprentice trains while supporting

Responsibilities

• Lead plumbing crews on commercial job sites: plan daily tasks, assign work, monitor progress and quality.
• Coordinate with Project Manager, other trades, and subcontractors to ensure schedule and project requirements are met.
• Enforce safety protocols and company standards; ensure the job site is clean and organized.
• Mentor and train Journeymen and Apprentices; evaluate performance.
• Read blueprints, drawings, and specifications; ensure compliance and troubleshoot issues.
• Report job site conditions, material needs, delays, and cost/time impacts to management.
• Install, repair and maintain commercial plumbing systems (pipes, valves, fixtures, drains, water heaters, etc.).
• Interpret drawings, schematics and material take-offs; execute installation per specifications.
• Perform leak detection, system testing and adjustments.
• Assist the Foreman in coordinating work, maintaining quality and supporting apprentices.
• Ensure compliance with code, safety and project standards; maintain tools and equipment.
