Job summary

National Coatings is seeking an experienced foreman to lead commercial painting projects in Idaho Falls. The role focuses on supervising crews, ensuring safety, and delivering high-quality finishes.

Responsibilities include surface preparation, coating application, equipment upkeep, and training of field staff. Strong communication and a track record of reliable project delivery are essential.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in commercial painting, including proven supervisory or foreman experience.
• Knowledge of safety regulations and procedures related to painting and construction activities.
• Exceptional communication skills (both verbal and written) with ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• High attention to detail and commitment to quality craftsmanship.
• Ability to read drawings/blueprints highly preferred.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Willingness to travel and work flexible hours as needed.

Responsibilities

• Supervise painting crews and ensure safety.
• Quality control and material management.
• Lead 5–10 crew members and train staff.
• Prepare, prime, sand, seal, and paint diverse surfaces.
• Maintain and repair painting equipment.
• Represent the company professionally on job sites.
• Complete daily reports, timecards, and field documentation.
• Process field change orders and tickets.
• Operate scaffolding, ladders, and spray systems.
• Maintain PPE, tools, trucks and a safe work environment.
