Job summary

National Coatings is seeking a seasoned Foreman to lead commercial painting crews across various projects in the Asheville, NC area. You will oversee material handling, quality control, safety compliance, and on-site coordination with clients and subcontractors.

The role requires 5+ years in commercial painting with supervisory experience, strong communication, and the ability to read drawings. Travel and flexible hours are expected as needed to meet project deadlines.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in commercial painting with supervisory or foreman experience.

Responsibilities

• Extensive material knowledge and quality control in painting projects.
• Goal-oriented leadership and organizational skills to achieve targets.
• Lead crews of 5-10 workers safely and train field staff.
• Prepare, prime, sand, seal, and paint diverse surfaces with various finishes.
• Maintain and repair painting equipment, identify issues promptly.
• Represent the company professionally on client sites.
• Complete daily field reports, timecards, and material reports.
• Understand field change orders and tickets.
• Operate multi-level scaffolding, extension ladders, and spray systems.
• Oversee PPE usage, tool maintenance, and vehicle safety.
