Job summary

Culinary Depot is seeking a hands-on Crew Lead to join our commercial kitchen installation team. This is not a traditional supervisory position; the Crew Lead works alongside the crew to install equipment and ensures the job is completed correctly and according to plan.

Responsibilities include installing equipment, uncrating and positioning items, reading technical drawings, taking measurements, flagging material needs, and communicating progress to Project Management.

Qualifications

• Experience with commercial kitchen installation, construction, or related work.
• Ability to read technical drawings and take accurate measurements.
• Strong mechanical and problem-solving skills.
• Reliable, hands-on, and detail-oriented.
• Strong communication and ability to take ownership in the field.

Responsibilities

• Install commercial kitchen equipment, including hoods, walk-ins, and other equipment.
• Uncrate, move, and set equipment in place.
• Read and interpret technical drawings and plans.
• Identify missing materials, discrepancies, and field issues.
• Take accurate measurements and provide actionable information to Project Management.
• Coordinate with the crew and Project Management to keep projects moving.
• Provide detailed daily progress updates.
• Take ownership of the installation through completion.
