Job summary

Crete United in Davenport, Iowa is seeking an experienced Lead Commercial HVAC Service Technician to diagnose, service, and repair a wide range of commercial and industrial HVAC systems. Qualified candidates will receive relocation assistance and a company-provided vehicle for the role located in Davenport, IA.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of commercial or industrial HVAC service experience.
• EPA Universal Certification required.
• Iowa HVAC License or ability to obtain during introductory employment period.
• Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record.
• Pre-employment drug screen required.
• High school diploma or GED required.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain commercial/industrial HVAC equipment.
• Install, replace, and commission HVAC and refrigeration systems.
• Perform preventative maintenance, inspections, testing, and start-ups.
• Complete warranty repairs and emergency service calls.
• Maintain accurate service documentation and communicate findings to customers.
• Ensure all work complies with company and OSHA standards.
• Mentor less experienced technicians when needed.

• Location: Davenport, IA
• Schedule: Full-Time | Monday–Friday | 8-Hour Shifts
• Overtime: Available
• On-Call Rotation: Required
• Compensation: Up to $55/hour, depending on experience

What You'll Do

As a Lead Commercial HVAC Service Technician, you'll be responsible for diagnosing, servicing, and repairing a wide variety of commercial and industrial HVAC systems while providing exceptional customer service.

Responsibilities include:

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain commercial and industrial HVAC equipment
• Install, replace, and commission HVAC and refrigeration systems
• Perform preventative maintenance, inspections, testing, and system start-ups
• Complete warranty repairs, equipment adjustments, and emergency service calls
• Maintain accurate service documentation and communicate findings with customers
• Ensure all work is completed safely and in compliance with company and OSHA standards
• Mentor and assist less experienced technicians when needed

Qualifications

Required

• 5+ years of commercial or industrial HVAC service experience
• EPA Universal Certification
• Iowa HVAC License or the ability to obtain one during the introductory employment period
• Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record
• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening
• High school diploma or GED

Preferred

• Experience servicing educational, commercial, healthcare, or industrial facilities
• Strong working knowledge of:
  • Chillers
  • RTU / Package Systems
  • Cooling Towers
  • Boilers
  • Pumps
  • RTUs
  • VRF Systems
  • VAV Systems
• OEM certifications such as Trane, Carrier, Daikin, York, Lennox, or Johnson Controls
