Job summary

Daikin Applied in Columbus, GA is seeking a Service Technician III to diagnose, repair and perform preventative maintenance on commercial and industrial HVAC equipment. You will service rooftop units, chillers, boilers, and other systems onsite, with opportunities to lead Levels I and II and train others.

Responsibilities include troubleshooting, warranty service, documenting work orders, and communicating with customers.

Qualifications

• 5+ years related experience with increasing responsibility or 7+ total experience.
• Technical school with HVAC certificate or equivalent education/experience.
• EPA approved Universal Technician Certification or as required by role.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance of commercial HVAC equipment including logging machines, cleaning coils, brushing tubes, replacing filters and belts, and lubricating components.
• Repair and replacement of defective equipment, components or wiring for fan coils, chillers, water source heat pumps and rooftop units.
• Inspect equipment to prevent breakdowns and analyze chiller trend data for optimal performance.
• Lead rebuilds and retrofits of commercial HVAC equipment and mentor Levels I and II technicians.
• Record and report billing, inventory, timecards and other required documents; communicate status to customers before, during and after calls.
• Participate in training and maintain required certifications; uphold OSHA and Daikin safety policies.
• Travel as needed, including potential overnight stays.
