Job summary
DWC Mechanical in Tampa, FL is seeking a hands-on Lead Commercial HVAC Installer to lead projects from layout through installation, startup support, and completion. This role requires reading plans, organizing daily work, guiding installers, and maintaining safety and quality on a year-round commercial site.
You will spearhead installation activities with your crew, coordinate with project management and other trades to meet project specs and customer expectations while upholding safety
Qualifications
- Experience installing commercial HVAC equipment and systems.
- Ability to lead installers and helpers on projects.
- Read and interpret blueprints and schedules.
- Coordinate with project management and other trades.
Responsibilities
- Lead and perform commercial HVAC installations per plans and codes.
- Read blueprints, equipment schedules, and installation instructions.
- Plan layouts and sequences to support efficient execution.
- Inspect work and address issues before inspections and startup.
- Support startup, testing, inspections, punch-lists, and closeout.
- Provide daily direction to installers and helpers; train crew.
- Coordinate with PMs, technicians, subcontractors, and other trades to stay on schedule.
- Maintain communication with customers and inspectors.
