Curran Young Construction, LLC. seeks a Commercial Construction Superintendent to oversee field construction, including organizing, planning, and scheduling to complete work on time, within budget, and to specified quality.

The role involves coordinating with subcontractors, architects, and engineers, developing schedules, leading field staff, and ensuring safety and compliance across the project lifecycle. Strong leadership and communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree with a minimum of 4 years related training and at least 8 years of building construction experience required, or an equivalent combination of education, training and/or experience.
• Deadline and detail-oriented.
• Thorough knowledge and understanding of the documents, drawings, specifications, construction means, methods and materials.
• Knowledge of construction cost control and basic accounting procedures.
• Computer skills and a familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite programs.
• Strong management, leadership and interpersonal skills combined with the ability to communicate well both verbally and in writing.

Responsibilities

• Liaise with subcontractors, architects, and engineers for day-to-day construction activities.
• Develop and implement overall project schedules identifying the critical path and expediting materials/equipment to site.
• Lead Curran Young field staff and contribute to performance appraisals.
• Ensure adherence to ethics and compliance requirements at all times.
• Develop and manage the site safety program and ensure subcontractor compliance with Curran Young standards and safety codes.
• Manage scheduling, delivery, logistics, quality control, and staffing levels.
• Coordinate work among trades to optimize project operations and resolve local issues.
• Oversee labor relations with subcontractors.
• Ensure permits and inspections are in place and current; liaise with inspection agencies.
• Provide percent complete status for billing and oversee monthly estimates of work, material invoices, and subcontractor payments.
• Ensure work conforms to approved contract documents.
