Job summary

Ainsworth-Benning Construction is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead commercial construction projects from preconstruction through closeout. You will oversee safety, schedules, budgets, and quality while coordinating office and field teams to deliver exceptional results.

Candidate will manage projects over $1 million, develop execution plans, mentor staff, and maintain strong client and subcontractor relationships.

Qualifications

• Read and interpret construction drawings, shop drawings, and specifications.
• Experience with Microsoft Office and construction project management software; Procore is a plus.
• Strong budgeting, forecasting, cost control, and financial reporting knowledge.
• Excellent organizational, planning, and time management skills.
• Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Ability to lead teams and adapt to changing priorities.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all phases of assigned commercial construction projects, ensuring safety, schedule, budget, and quality.
• Manage projects valued at $1 million or more.
• Develop execution strategies, schedules, and construction plans.
• Establish objectives, procedures, and performance expectations.
• Coordinate resources to maintain productivity and efficiency.
• Lead estimating for construction management and hard-bid projects.
• Provide leadership between office and field teams.
• Stay current with construction methods, technologies, and equipment.
• Manage all financial aspects, including budgets, costs, revenue, forecasting, and profitability.
• Monitor production progress and project performance.
• Protect company interests while maintaining client relationships.
• Mentor and develop team members; foster a safety-first culture.
