Job summary

gpac is seeking a Commercial Construction Project Manager in Houston to oversee projects from inception to completion, coordinating architects, engineers, and contractors to meet time and budget targets while upholding quality and safety standards.

You will develop plans, manage budgets, schedules, permits, and reporting, lead diverse teams, and communicate progress to stakeholders. A bachelor’s degree and proven PM experience in commercial construction are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field (preferred).
• Proven experience as a Project Manager in commercial construction, with a strong understanding of construction techniques and materials.
• Excellent knowledge of construction scheduling and project management software (e.g., Primavera, Procore, Microsoft Project).
• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with diverse teams and stakeholders.
• Detail-oriented and organized, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage time efficiently.
• Understanding of building codes, regulations, and safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Develop project plans, including scope, budget, schedule, and resources required.
• Coordinate with architects, engineers, subcontractors, and suppliers to align goals.
• Obtain necessary permits and licenses and ensure regulatory requirements are met.
• Prepare and maintain project budgets and track expenses.
• Control project costs by approving expenditures, monitoring invoice processing, and reviewing change orders.
• Develop and maintain project schedules.
• Monitor progress against milestones and adjust plans for timely completion.
• Implement quality control programs and enforce safety regulations.
• Lead project teams and conduct regular status meetings.
• Provide regular updates to stakeholders on project progress.
• Identify potential risks and develop mitigation plans.
