Job summary

Tooele County School District seeks a dedicated coach to instruct students in the fundamental skills of the sport/activity and foster personal development through teamwork and guidance.

You will develop sport-specific drills and game plans, motivate students to excel academically and athletically, oversee trips and competitions, and collaborate with the marching band director while maintaining equipment and budgets.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience as an athlete and/or coach.
• Be energetic, responsible, dependable, self motivated and punctual.
• Familiar with the rules and regulations of the sport/activity.
• Excellent public relation skills and work effectively with staff, parents and administration.

Responsibilities

• Instruct students in the fundamental skills of the sport/activity and develop drills and game plans.
• Motivate students to excel academically and in sports performance.
• Oversees trips and competition events and maintains equipment.
• Works with the marching band director and contributes to budget compliance.
• Assist in hiring and instructing assistant coaches, and supervise on trips, camps and competitions.
