Job summary

Greenfield Engineering, a Saalex Company, seeks a Cockpit Lead Systems Engineer to direct cockpit projects for VH-3D, VH-60N, and VH-92A programs. You will oversee acquisition, development, integration, testing, certification, and sustainment of cockpit avionics, ensuring schedule adherence and risk mitigation.

Applicants should have extensive avionics experience, FAA/NAVAIR process familiarity, and the ability to lead multidisciplinary teams across government and industry partners.

Qualifications

• Knowledge and practical experience with avionics subsystems.
• Familiarity with FAA aircraft and systems certification processes, policies, and directives.
• Familiarity with U.S. Navy and Marine Corps airworthiness and Cybersafe policies and processes.
• Ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and coordinate across government, Fleet, engineering, program, and industry organizations.
• Ability to manage daily integration challenges, influence design decisions, resolve deficiencies, and develop schedules.

Responsibilities

• Provide engineering leadership for cockpit systems, including communications, navigation, surveillance, identification, and displays.
• Support acquisition, development, integration, testing, and sustainment of VH avionics systems.
• Develop and manage technical roadmaps for cockpit projects, including obsolescence management and retrofit planning.
• Lead and coordinate with cross-functional teams to resolve system integration challenges and approve technical products.
• Identify risks and develop mitigation plans considering cost, schedule, safety, and fleet performance.
