Help Lead KidStrong Woodbury

KidStrong Woodbury is looking for a high-energy, dependable leader who loves working with kids, connects naturally with families, and wants to play a meaningful role in building a successful center.

As our Lead Coach/Assistant General Manager, you will be part of the center's core management team, working in partnership with the General Manager to create an exceptional experience for our kids, families, and team.

Approximately half of your time will be spent coaching and leading the KidStrong experience on the floor. The other half will focus on sales, member experience, team leadership, community engagement, and center operations.

What You'll Do

Lead the KidStrong Experience

  • Deliver high-energy, engaging KidStrong classes focused on cognitive, physical, and character development for kids from crawling through 11 years old.

  • Become an expert in the KidStrong curriculum and confidently communicate the \"why\" behind what we do to parents and families.

  • Set the standard for coaching quality, energy, professionalism, safety, and member experience.

  • Build strong relationships with kids and families before, during, and after class.

Lead & Develop the Coaching Team

  • Serve as the primary coaching leader and role model for the center.

  • Mentor, develop, and provide ongoing feedback to coaches.

  • Help create a positive, accountable, high-performing team culture.

  • Partner in coach onboarding, training, development, and scheduling.

  • Identify opportunities to improve class quality and coach performance.

  • Help ensure the coaching team consistently delivers an exceptional KidStrong experience.

Drive Membership & Sales

  • Share responsibility for center growth and membership goals.

  • Connect with prospective families by phone, text, email, and in person.

  • Follow up with leads and help parents understand how KidStrong can benefit their child.

  • Build relationships with current members and help increase engagement and retention.

  • Confidently handle membership conversations and help families take the next step.

  • Participate in community events, partnerships, and outreach efforts that introduce new families to KidStrong.

Help Lead Center Operations

  • Work in partnership with the General Manager to support the overall performance of the center.

  • Share responsibility for day-to-day operations and the member experience.

  • Understand center KPIs and actively contribute to achieving membership, retention, revenue, and operational goals.

  • Help solve problems, address family concerns, and support team members as situations arise.

  • Maintain high standards for center cleanliness, organization, safety, and presentation.

  • Take ownership of the center during your scheduled leadership hours.

  • Communicate closely with ownership and the General Manager regarding center performance, team needs, and opportunities for improvement.

We're Looking for Someone Who...

  • Loves working with kids. Experience coaching, teaching, working in youth programs, sports, fitness, camps, childcare, or a similar environment is strongly preferred.

  • Is a natural leader. You take ownership, hold high standards, and help the people around you improve.

  • Can both coach and sell. You're just as comfortable leading a room full of kids as you are talking with a parent about membership.

  • Connects easily with people. You can build relationships with kids, parents, prospects, and team members.

  • Is confident and proactive. You don't need to be told every next step—you notice what needs to happen and take action.

  • Is dependable. Your team can count on you to show up, communicate, and follow through.

  • Brings energy. KidStrong is active, engaging, and fun, and our leaders set the tone.

  • Is comfortable with accountability. You care about results and understand that membership growth, retention, coaching quality, and member experience all matter.

  • Is coachable and adaptable. You're open to feedback and able to adjust quickly in a growing business.

  • Is a team-first leader. You're comfortable sharing leadership and collaborating closely with another strong leader.

  • Is CPR certified or willing to become certified.

Previous leadership or management experience is preferred, but we are also open to someone who has clearly demonstrated leadership potential and is ready for a bigger opportunity.
