Job summary

Peraton seeks a Computer Network Defense Analyst at Ft. Meade to defend and monitor national networks, applying advanced analytical and technical skills. You will work on layered defenses, threat detection, and incident response to safeguard critical infrastructure.

Qualifications

• Experience in computer/information systems design or related fields.
• Background in network security and vulnerability analysis.
• Completion of military cyber training programs may count toward experience requirements.
• Active TS/SCI security clearance with polygraph required.

Responsibilities

• Detect, analyze, and respond to cyber threats using IDS, firewalls, logs.
• Develop and implement mitigations to strengthen network defenses.
• Support multiple data transport environments (wired, Wi‑Fi, cellular, collaborative platforms).
• Build expertise in networking protocols, cloud security, IoT protocols, and advanced defense techniques.
• Collaborate with government, military, and contractor personnel to align priorities.
• Apply analytical methods to form hypotheses, assess techniques, query data, and derive actionable insights.
• Document and communicate findings to teammates and stakeholders.
