Job summary

Lusk Quality is seeking a Lead CNC Swiss Turning Setup Supervisor in Palmdale, CA to guide a skilled team of operators from part approval to final inspection. You will review orders, map priorities, and align cycle times with deadlines while coaching the team at the machines and ensuring first-piece quality.

You will set up Swiss-type equipment, dial in tooling and offsets, troubleshoot issues, and perform preventive maintenance to sustain performance.

Qualifications

• Proven leadership abilities with hands-on experience running Swiss machines.
• Strong blueprint and drawing literacy; working knowledge of GD&T.
• Proficiency with hand tools and precision measuring instruments.
• Familiarity with CAD (e.g., SolidWorks) for programming-related tasks.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of Swiss machine operators to hit cycle times, meet quality standards, and deliver to customer schedules.
• Set up and operate Swiss machines to produce precision components.
• Interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and specifications to plan machining operations.
• Select and install cutting tools, attachments, and accessories; optimize setups for repeatability.
• Monitor production, adjust settings as needed, and verify parts meet specifications.
• Inspect parts using precision measuring tools (micrometers, calipers, etc.).
• Troubleshoot machining and process issues; implement robust solutions.
• Perform routine preventive maintenance to sustain machine performance.
• Promote a collaborative, professional team environment while enforcing safety and company policies.
