Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; vocational school or apprenticeship preferred.
• 5+ years' experience programming Swiss lathe machines/parts.
• Experience using and/or programming manual, semi-automated or automated tools and machines (Swiss lathes, grinders, mills).
• Ability to read, interpret drawings/blueprints and follow routers.
• Strong mathematical and analytical skills with excellent accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Developing programs for new parts on multi-axis Swiss lathes.
• Programming and setup plan of CNC Swiss lathe turning centers.
• Interpret technical drawings and set up the machines accordingly.
• Perform quality assurance tests to ensure products meet specifications.
• Adjust cutting paths or settings to optimize production while maintaining quality.
• Train new operators to properly operate Swiss lathes and programs.
