Job summary

EFCO Corp. seeks a hands-on CNC Lead to interpret blueprints, design CNC programs, and oversee Haas mill/lathe operations to ensure precision and quality aligned with production standards and delivery commitments.

You will lead CNC operators, develop programs with Mastercam for 4- and 5-axis machines, validate processes, and collaborate with engineers and supervisors to meet scheduling targets while maintaining safety and documentation.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of proven experience programming and setting up Haas mills and lathes.
• Technical degree or equivalent experience required.
• Strong communication and leadership skills; travel required.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily leadership and direction to CNC operators, including training, performance reviews, and workflow coordination.
• Translate product blueprints and technical drawings into CNC programs using Mastercam for 4-axis and 5-axis mills and live tooling lathes; determine optimal operations, tooling, speeds, and feeds.
• Set up CNC machines based on created programs, conduct simulations and test runs to verify accuracy and efficiency; troubleshoot issues to meet blueprint specs.
• Collaborate with engineers, shop operators, and supervisors to share program details, resolve production challenges, and maintain documentation for scheduling and planning.
