Job summary

Wabtec is seeking an experienced CNC programmer in Grove City to lead programs for 3- to 5-axis machining, implement process improvements, and mentor peers. You will work in our Grove City Diesel Engine plant, develop efficient NC programs and setups, and collaborate with maintenance and engineering teams.

The role requires a strong background in G/M code, Mastercam, 3D design, and inspection software, with proven ability to train operators and drive continuous improvement in a fast-paced

Qualifications

• High School Diploma / GED with a minimum of 4 years of technical experience.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience with programming and machine control systems.
• Strong understanding of 3, 4 axis machining centers; 5 axis knowledge a plus.
• Experience with Fanuc, Siemens, and/or Mazatrol controls.
• Ability to train/mentor other team members through technical communications.
• Independently able to complete machine, fixturing and tooling setups.
• CMM programming experience in PCDMIS and Camio languages is a plus.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and CAM programming – Mastercam preferred.

Responsibilities

• Program and optimize machining centers using G/M code, Mastercam, and 3D design tools.
• Guide selection of manufacturing methods for existing and new processes.
• Create and improve programming standard methods.
• Train machine operators and other programmers.
• Troubleshoot defects and coordinate with vendors for improvements.
• Lead equipment improvement strategies with new tooling and software.
