Job summary

Astemo Ltd. in Monroe, GA seeks a CNC Operator to support our warehouse and production operations. You will audit process controls, operate high‑speed equipment, and ensure safety and quality standards are met during night shifts (E shift: 7:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m.).

We value hands‑on technicians with a High School diploma and at least five years manufacturing experience. You should be able to read work orders, perform basic math, and lift up to 25 pounds as needed.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Five (5) years manufacturing experience with preference in equipment assembly or high-speed equipment operation.
• Sufficient reading and writing ability to follow work order instructions and prepare simple production reports.
• Basic math skills.
• Sufficient Manual dexterity to operate machines properly.
• Sufficient visual acuity (corrected) to read instructions, operate machines, and visually inspect parts products.
• Physical ability to do work requiring frequent standing and walking.
• Physical strength sufficient to lift and carry up to 25 pounds frequently.

Responsibilities

• Audit/verify process control documents for completion and accuracy.
• Enforce all organizational initiatives, to include safety and quality policies.
• Coordinate training activities and audit effectiveness.
• Troubleshoot process issues as a means of mitigating downtime.
• Ensure production areas are safe, neat, clean, and well organized.
• Coordinate changeover activities and audit for accuracy and accountability purposes.
• Respect work hours, support production goals and timetables, which may require overtime.
• Ensures the following: using ISO14001 & TS16949 to ensure procedures are followed.
• All production, scrap, and down time reports are completed properly and timely.
• Product and/or component dimensions are checked via in-process inspection check sheets with gauges.
• Equipment is monitored for abnormalities.
• Monitors changing of simple parts and fixtures to facilitate changeover of product types.
• Visually and manually check for defects in product or workmanship.
• Accuracy of recording of process equipment settings and conditions using equipment verification sheets.
