Job summary

IDC Spring is seeking a Lead CNC Machinist/Programmer in Coon Rapids, MN to lead CNC operations for garage door springs. You will create CNC programs, design fixtures with CAD, and manage tooling and production flow while maintaining quality and efficiency.

The role requires 5 years of CNC experience, proficiency with G-code, CAM/CAD tools, and strong problem-solving skills. Competitive weekly pay and comprehensive benefits are provided.

Qualifications

• 5 years of CNC machinist experience, including independent setup and programming.
• Hands-on experience with manual mills and lathes, CNC mills, CNC lathes, and CNC mill-turn machines, including live tooling Y and C axis lathes.
• Experience designing parts in 3D CAD software and creating and interpreting engineering drawings.
• Knowledge of tooling selection, fixturing, and cutting data for stainless steel, carbon steel, tool steel, aluminum, and brass.

Responsibilities

• Create basic and complex programs for CNC machines using G-code and CAM software.
• Design parts, fixtures, and tooling using CAD software.
• Perform complete setups and operate CNC mills, CNC lathes, CNC mill-turn machines, and manual mills and lathes to produce parts per drawings and specifications.
• Select tooling for each job, track tooling usage, and manage tooling orders.
• Drive continuous improvement to reduce cycle times and meet cost, quality, and delivery objectives.
