Qualifications

• Minimum of 6 years of experience in Steel Manufacturing.
• 1-2 years of experience in a Lead role preferred.
• Familiarity with CMMs is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC Mills & Lathes.
• Provide guidance and assistance to coworkers.
• Perform daily preventative maintenance on machines.

Skills

Knowledge of CNC Mills and Lathes

Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen

Duties of the lead CNC machinist :

• Set up and operate CNC Mills & Lathes
• Provide guidance and assistance to coworkers as needed
• Interpret and comprehend blueprints accurately
• Load and unload parts from machining centers
• Utilize micrometers, calipers, and gauge pins
• Operate CMMs (Coordinate Measuring Machines)
• Perform daily preventative maintenance on machines and ensure fluid levels meet requirements
• Change and monitor tooling and set up fixturing
• Adjust equipment and deburr products as necessary

Requirements of the lead CNC machinist :

• Minimum of 6 years of experience in Steel Manufacturing
• 1-2 years of experience in a Lead role preferred
• Knowledge of CNC Mills and Lathes
• Familiarity with CMMs is a plus
• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen
• Compliance with ITAR regulations
