Job description

WAGE RANGE: $40.00 - $46.00 | 10% Shift Differential Available
SHIFT: 2nd Shift | Monday-Friday | 8-hour shifts + Overtime as needed


We're looking for a CNC Lead Machinist (2nd Shift) to help guide our CNC team, prioritize production, and contribute to hands-on machining of complex, high-precision parts.WHAT YOU'LL DO:
  • Coordinate daily CNC production needs and priorities with supervisors
  • Make informed decisions on machining, quality, and cost control
  • Train and mentor machinists to ensure knowledge, safety, and efficiency
  • Perform programming, setup, and operation of CNC mills and lathes
  • Lead complex machining tasks, including multi-axis (3+1, 3+2) setups
  • Modify programs, optimize processes, and recommend tooling improvements
  • Collaborate on quoting, time/material estimates, and vendor coordination
  • Act as a backup to the CNC Supervisor as needed
  • Design fixtures, assess surface finishes, and ensure high-tolerance precision

WHAT YOU BRING:
  • 8+ years of CNC setup and programming experience (or 2 years with Sac EDM)
  • Strong knowledge of 2D/3D programming, lathe/live tooling, and dual spindle operations
  • Proficiency in Fusion 360 or similar CAM software
  • Solid understanding of geometric dimensioning (GD&T), print reading, and material properties
  • Strong troubleshooting, process improvement, and mentoring skills
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills
