Job summary

B&T USA in Utah seeks an experienced CNC Programmer specializing in lathe and turning operations to optimize programs and processes for quality and efficiency. You will develop, edit, and optimize CNC programs, interpret blueprints, collaborate with machinists and engineers, lead setup and operation of lathes, and drive continuous improvement across production.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent; technical certification or coursework in CNC programming or machining preferred.
• Strong proficiency in CNC programming languages (G-code, M-code).
• Extensive experience with lathes, mill-turn and multi-channel turning operations, and advanced machining principles.
• Ability to read and interpret complex engineering drawings and technical documents.
• Strong attention to detail with excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Proven ability to adapt in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

Responsibilities

• Develop, edit, and optimize CNC programs for lathes and turning centers to support production needs.
• Interpret complex technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications to create precise machining instructions.
• Collaborate with machinists, engineers, and production staff to improve machining processes and ensure high-quality output.
• Lead the setup and operation of CNC lathes to validate programs and ensure proper functionality.
• Monitor machining processes, troubleshoot issues, and implement program adjustments for optimal performance.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity, reduce waste, and improve product quality.
• Maintain accurate and comprehensive documentation for programs, tooling, and setup instructions.
• Provide technical support and mentorship to less experienced team members as needed.
