Job summary

Zero Hour Parts is seeking a Cell Lead to develop and implement CNC programs for lathe and mill operations from customer drawings. You will use Mastercam or Hypermill to create optimized programs, select tools, set offsets, and guide setup sheets to maximize yield and minimize cost.

The role requires leadership to manage an operator and coordinate with manufacturing management on issues affecting part processing.

Qualifications

• Must have 1+ year programming experience and strong blueprint reading skills.
• Knowledge of GD&T and problem-solving abilities are essential.
• Experience with Mastercam or Hypermill for CNC programming is required.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement new part programs for CNC Lathe and Mill operations from CAD drawings.
• Create and optimize CNC programs using Mastercam or Hypermill to maximize yield and efficiency.
• Set up CNC Mills and Lathes, troubleshoot programming issues, and generate tooling/BOM requisitions.
• Lead a cell, supervise an operator, and collaborate with manufacturing management to drive improvements.
• Ensure parts meet quality standards and safety policies, and maintain a clean work area.
