Are you a compassionate CNA who's ready to take the next step in your career? At Hearthwood Senior Living, we believe exceptional care starts with exceptional people. We're looking for an experienced, dependable, and motivated Lead Certified Nursing Assistant (Lead CNA) to help guide our caregiving team, support our nursing staff, and make a meaningful difference in the lives of our residents every day.

This is an exciting opportunity for a CNA who leads by example, thrives in a team environment, and takes pride in delivering outstanding resident care. As a Lead CNA, you'll be a trusted resource on the unit, helping keep daily operations running smoothly while fostering a culture of compassion, accountability, and teamwork.

Make a Difference Every Day

As our Lead CNA, you'll play an important role in supporting both residents and team members. Your leadership, experience, and willingness to step in when needed will help ensure residents receive the quality care, dignity, and respect they deserve.

What You'll Do
  • Lead by Example: Serve as the primary CNA resource on the unit during your shift, providing guidance, support, and hands-on assistance to fellow team members.
  • Support Resident Care: Step into direct care responsibilities when needed, including during critical staffing shortages, to help maintain resident safety and continuity of care.
  • Coordinate Daily Assignments: Assist with assigning CNA workloads and balancing resident assignments to promote efficiency, fairness, and quality care.
  • Keep Care on Track: Monitor the completion of resident care tasks throughout the shift and help ensure residents' needs are consistently met.
  • Champion Resident and Family Satisfaction: Help address resident and family concerns with empathy and professionalism, escalating issues to nursing leadership when appropriate.
  • Support Transitions: Assist with resident admissions, transfers, and discharges to help ensure smooth, coordinated transitions.
  • Mentor and Inspire: Welcome new CNAs, assist with orientation, share best practices, and help team members build confidence in their roles.
  • Build a Strong Team: Promote teamwork, respectful communication, accountability, and a positive work environment where everyone feels supported.
  • Partner with Nursing Leadership: Communicate important updates, identify care concerns, and collaborate with the clinical team to support excellent resident outcomes.
What You'll Bring
  • Current, active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in good standing, as required by state regulations.
  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • Previous experience as a CNA in a senior living, skilled nursing, long-term care, or similar healthcare setting.
  • Strong communication, organization, and interpersonal skills.
  • A compassionate, resident-centered approach to care and a genuine desire to serve older adults.
  • The ability to guide, encourage, and support fellow team members.
  • Sound judgment, reliability, flexibility, and the ability to remain calm and effective in a fast-paced environment.
  • A willingness to provide hands-on resident care and help meet the needs of the unit when staffing challenges arise.
  • A commitment to resident dignity, safety, privacy, and confidentiality.
Why Join Hearthwood Senior Living?

At Hearthwood Senior Living, you'll have the opportunity to turn your CNA experience into meaningful leadership. We value team members who take initiative, support one another, and bring compassion to every resident interaction.

As our Lead CNA, you'll have the chance to:

  • Make a visible impact on the quality of resident care.
  • Help fellow CNAs grow and succeed.
  • Work alongside a clinical team that shares your commitment to residents.
  • Develop your leadership skills and take the next step in your healthcare career.
  • Be part of a team where your experience, dedication, and ideas matter.
Ready to Lead with Heart?
