Texas Health Resources in Alliance, TX is seeking a Lead Certified Medical Assistant for the Women’s Care Clinic. This full-time, days role supports a busy OB/GYN practice, with 40 hours weekly and dayshift hours. Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent (required).
• CMA - Certified Medical Assistant Upon Hire (required).
• 4 Years Medical Assistant experience (required).
• 2 Years Medical Lead / Supervisory experience (strongly preferred).
• OB/GYN experience (strongly preferred).
• ACLS – Advanced Cardiac Life Support Upon Hire (preferred).
• BCLS – Basic Cardiac Life Support Upon Hire (required).
• NCT - Non-Certified Radiologic Technician training may be required Upon Hire (preferred).
• Medication Aide certification may be required Upon Hire (preferred).
• Successful completion of THPG Clinical Training (CT) educational program with demonstrated competency in required skills-within 90 days of job entry (required).
• Ability to accurately perform EKGs, draw blood and administer injections as needed by assigned clinic.
• Ability to effectively communicate to staff and patients.
• Demonstrate knowledge of examination, diagnostic and treatment room procedures.

Responsibilities

• Directs and guides back office staff in monitoring and expediting workflow.
• Handles medical supply inventory, orders, and cost control.
• Performs general patient care by following established standards and procedures.
• Greets and prepares patients for the health care provider.
• Obtains and records vital signs and other information.
• Administers ordered medications via various routes.
• Administers vaccines as required.
• May be required to draw blood samples and prepare specimens for lab analysis.
• Schedules patients for diagnostic testing and follow-up.
• Prepares, cleans and sterilizes instruments and maintains equipment.
• Communicates test results and plan of care by phone or mail.
• Documents patient care plans, charts, tests and results in medical record.
• Escalates non-routine issues to Practice Manager or physician.
• Works with Provider to train new hires and others.
• May work front office and perform other duties as assigned.
