Job summary

Avenue360 Health and Wellness in Houston is seeking a Lead Certified Medical Assistant (Lead CMA) to provide leadership for the medical assistant team, ensuring safe, high-quality patient care and smooth clinic operations.

Reporting to the Quality Manager and working with nursing leadership, the Lead CMA will supervise staff, monitor infection control, support workflows, and mentor team members to uphold Ave 360's standards of compassionate, patient-centered care.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required.
Medical Assistant Certification required.
BLS (Basic Life Support) Certification required.
Bilingual English and Spanish preferred; non-bilingual candidates encouraged to apply.
Experience in fast-paced healthcare settings preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide daily supervision, training, and competency development of Medical Assistants.
Ensure compliance with infection control policies and quality standards.
Oversee clinical care support and maintain efficient patient flow.
Lead staff on clinical processes, documentation, and pre-charting.
Support data collection, quality improvement projects, and reporting.
Collaborate with CMA Supervisor, LVN team, and Nurse Manager.
