Job summary

Motion Recruitment is seeking a Senior Cloud Security Engineer to secure cloud environments across the full technology stack. The role focuses on security, automation, and risk reduction within a rapidly expanding cloud footprint.

You will collaborate with infrastructure teams, developers, security operations, and business stakeholders to bolster the organization’s cloud security posture. The ideal candidate brings 8+ years in cloud security, strong hands-on AWS/Azure experience, and proficiency

Qualifications

• Must have strong experience securing AWS and/or Azure
• Must have experience with cloud networking and infrastructure security
• Experience with vulnerability management and remediation programs
• Hands-on experience with SIEM, logging, and monitoring platforms
• Understanding of IAM concepts and access controls
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform
• Knowledge of cloud-native security services and best practices
• Experience scripting with PowerShell, Python, or Bash
• Understanding of incident response and security investigations
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

Responsibilities

• Design and implement security controls across cloud infrastructure and services
• Identify and remediate security vulnerabilities within cloud environments
• Develop automation solutions that improve security operations and compliance
• Monitor cloud resources for suspicious activity and security risks
• Support investigations involving cloud security incidents
• Partner with engineering teams to ensure secure deployment of applications and services
• Conduct security assessments and configuration reviews of cloud platforms
• Improve security monitoring, visibility, and reporting capabilities
• Evaluate emerging cloud technologies and identify potential security implications
• Contribute to security standards and best practices across the organization
