Job summary

JPMorganChase is hiring a Lead Software Engineer in Corporate Technology to drive end-to-end delivery of modern data solutions and platform modernization across private cloud and AWS. You will mentor engineers, improve data processing pipelines, and advance AI-assisted development while ensuring secure, scalable software delivery.

You will partner with stakeholders across technology and business, focusing on reliability, security, and velocity, as you help accelerate cloud adoption and modernize

Qualifications

• Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts.
• Hands-on experience with system design, application development, testing, and operational stability in large-scale environments.
• Proficiency in Python or Java and production code maintenance.
• Experience building data processing ETL pipelines and data lifecycle management.
• AWS experience with cloud delivery practices, IaC (Terraform), and services like S3, EC2, EMR.
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Strong Agile delivery and SDLC understanding.
• Experience guiding AI-assisted development tools with validation standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and delivery of data processing solutions for secure, scalable software.
• Drive architecture decisions across app, data, and infra layers for performance and reliability.
• Modernize workloads, accelerate cloud adoption, and leverage AWS/private cloud patterns.
• Build and enhance ETL and event-driven data processing, improving throughput and observability.
• Collaborate with product, data, and engineering stakeholders to align on outcomes.
• Improve engineering excellence with code quality, automated testing, and peer reviews.
• Mentor engineers and promote a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
• Champion responsible AI use and secure handling of inputs/outputs in delivery practices.
