Job summary

Belcan Corporation is seeking an Applications Engineer contractor (L5) in Melbourne, FL to lead design, development and integration of Cloud software applications within an Agile framework. You will deploy end-to-end Cloud/non-Cloud integration and coordinate with teams and customers to review designs, estimates and risks.

Qualifications

• BS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or equivalent (STEM) with minimum 6 years' related experience; Graduate Degree adds 4+ years.
• Minimum 3+ years Cloud Software Developer experience.
• Minimum 3+ years OOP experience (Java, C++, Python).
• Hands-on experience designing, developing, and deploying microservices to Kubernetes environments (EKS, OpenShift).
• Knowledge of microservice architectural patterns and cloud containers/databases/object storage.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, development and integration of Cloud software applications in an Agile environment.
• Implement applications aligning with program requirements and cloud roadmap.
• Coordinate with team and customers to review designs and estimates; document risks and assumptions.
• Leverage DevOps to build and improve automated build, test and deployment environments.
• Provide operational support to meet high availability and SLAs.
