Job summary

Acara Solutions in Melbourne, FL seeks an Applications Engineer to design, develop, and deploy cloud software in an Agile setting. You will build and deploy microservices to Kubernetes, integrating cloud and non-cloud components while driving DevOps to ensure reliability and high availability of enterprise systems.

You will collaborate with development teams and customers to review designs and estimates, and to address risks and constraints.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field.
• 3+ years as a Cloud Software Developer.
• 3+ years of OOP experience (Java, C++, Python).
• 3+ years designing, developing and deploying microservices to Kubernetes (EKS/OpenShift).
• 3+ years building scalable, highly available enterprise cloud systems.
• 2+ years Java development with Web Services, JMS, and app servers; JS with NodeJS or ReactJS.
• 2+ years of relational and NoSQL databases.
• 2+ years using Cloud services for app development/deployment and IaC.
• 2+ years DevOps tools and concepts (Jira, Confluence, GitLab, Git, Nexus, Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD).

Responsibilities

• Lead design, development, integration, and deployment of cloud software in Agile.
• Develop and deploy microservices to Kubernetes-based environments.
• Review designs, estimates, risks, and assumptions with teams and customers.
• Build and improve automated build, testing, CI/CD, and deployment environments with DevOps.
• Provide operational support to maintain high availability and meet SLAs.
