Qualifications

  • Must be WA State licensed Mental Health Counselor, Social Worker, or MFT.
  • At least 10 years of direct counseling experience.
  • Must meet WA State supervisory qualifications.

Schedule: Full-Time

Hiring Range: $83,491.20 - $111,342.40 per year

Are you a skilled behavioral health professional with a passion for mental wellness, cultural respect, and community leadership? The Kwawachee Counseling Center at the Puyallup Tribal Health Authority (PTHA) welcomes a dedicated Lead Clinician/Supervisor to help guide our healing work and support Indigenous communities with integrity, compassion, and excellence.

What You’ll Do

As a Lead Clinician/Supervisor, you will wear two deeply meaningful hats:

Clinician (60%)

  • Provide trauma-informed counseling to individuals, families, and groups, including crisis response and suicide prevention
  • Conduct comprehensive mental, emotional, physical, and spiritual assessments
  • Create client-centered treatment plans and maintain documentation that reflects client voice and growth
  • Deliver mental health support at the tribal school, within the clinic, and through community outreach

Supervisor (40%)

  • Provide clinical supervision and leadership to an interdisciplinary counseling team
  • Coordinate peer reviews, support interns, and serve as a liaison for training partnerships
  • Step into leadership as needed to ensure continuity and quality of care

What You Bring

  • Master’s degree in human services or behavioral health field
  • WA State licensure as a Mental Health Counselor, Social Worker, or Marriage and Family Therapist
  • At least (10) years’ experience providing direct counseling services to individuals, families, and groups
  • Must meet WA State supervisory qualifications
