Job summary

California Specialty Pharmacy, LLC in Whittier, CA, is seeking a Clinical Pharmacist – Specialty & Compounding Pharmacy to oversee services and ensure compliance with state and federal regulations. You will supervise compounding activities, develop clinical programs, ensure timely shipping, and act as a drug information resource for patients and providers.

The role requires a Doctorate of Pharmacy and an active CA pharmacist license, with a focus on quality, cost effectiveness, and staff

Qualifications

• Doctorate Degree in Pharmacy
• Current and active Pharmacist license from the California State Board of Pharmacy
• Licensure: Current, active and in good standing pharmacist license in the state of employment
• Evaluate prescription orders for accuracy, validity, and appropriateness
• Prepare and dispense prescriptions in accordance with federal and state law
• Responsible for completing projects and responsibilities as assigned by the executive management team
• Attend appropriate training, seminars, and workshops, as required

Responsibilities

• Monitor and oversee compounding activities per SOPs
• Maintain SOPs for sterile and non-sterile lab and cleaning logs
• Help to create master formulas
• Verify prescription orders and formula log sheets
• Report on CURES program for controlled substance monitoring
• Verify scripts in CPR+ queues 7 and G
• Ensure packages are shipped appropriately and in a timely manner
• Develop new clinical programs on Envoy for IVIG and other disease states
• Pass Certified Specialty Pharmacy certification within a year
• Pass IGNS Certification within a year
• Serve as a drug information resource for patients, providers, and staff
• Support Directors in daily business tasks
• Perform other duties as required
• Receive daily pharmaceutical orders
