Job summary

Qualifications

• BS in Pharmacy or Pharmacist Degree required.
• Current Pharmacist license in the applicable state.
• Experience dispensing prescriptions and knowledge of controlled substance laws.
• 2 years of customer service experience with strong communication.

Responsibilities

• Completes patient records and opening/continuing notes.
• Supervises pharmacy technicians in processing, compounding, labeling, packaging, and claim submission.
• Provides patient counseling and information on drug interactions, side effects, dosage, and storage.
• Reviews demographics and prescriptions to ensure appropriate therapy and accurate dosing.
• Adheres to security procedures for controlled substances and aseptic compounding safety.
• Coordinates care with referrals, medication reviews, and discharge planning.
• Performs other duties as needed.
