Job summary

Planned Parenthood Northern California (PPNorCal) seeks a Clinical Laboratory Technical Supervisor for its San Rafael laboratory. The role oversees technical, logistical, and administrative functions to ensure accurate testing and reporting within established timelines.

The supervisor ensures competency, trainings, and regulatory compliance, while supporting budget, quality assurance, and performance improvement initiatives in collaboration with Clinical Operations leaders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in a related science field required.
• 3-5 years in clinical lab operations preferred.
• Experience with regulatory/accreditation (CLIA, COLA, CAP, AABB) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain licenses and certificates in compliance with regulations.
• Lead audit activities including COLA audit readiness.
• Supervise lab personnel and day-to-day operations in the High Reference Laboratory.
• Collaborate with vendors and health center operations to ensure quality and efficiency.
• Develop and update SOPs, QA activities, and performance improvements.
