Qualifications

• United States Citizenship requirement as per VA policy.
• English proficiency (spoken and written) per 38 U.S.C.
• Education: bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited college/university.
• Supervisory CLS GS-13 requires higher education/experience.
• Certification options: MLS MT Generalist or categorical/specialist per ASCP/AMT.

Responsibilities

• Provide full supervisory duties including work assignment, evaluations, and staff development.
• Ensure lab safety and compliance with federal and state laws.
• Oversee day-to-day lab operations and staff scheduling.
• Review test results and coordinate with physicians for definitive diagnosis.
• Maintain quality management programs and reporting.
