Job summary

Kaleida Health is seeking a Lead Clinical Laboratory Scientist at Olean General Hospital. In this full-time role, you will provide direction in the laboratory, performing accurate procedures on patient specimens and reporting results to medical staff.

The ideal candidate will have a bachelor's degree in Clinical Laboratory Science and at least 4 years of clinical laboratory experience. A full clinical license is required. This role requires onsite work from 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, with occasional weekend duty.

Work Type: Full‑Time; Shift: 1 (7:00AM–3:00PM)

Job Description

Provides direction within an assigned section or subsection of the clinical laboratory. Performs accurate and reliable laboratory procedures on patient specimens, evaluates, interprets, and reports test results to appropriate patient‑care personnel.

Education and Credentials

Bachelor’s degree verified by the state DOE as meeting the requirements for full licensure of a clinical lab technologist.

Full Clinical Laboratory Technologist License required upon hire, OR laboratory technologist limited permit required (must obtain full licensure within 9 months if hired with a permit).

Experience

Minimum of 4 years of clinical laboratory experience as a technologist; at least 2 of the past 4 years performing laboratory tests for which the position is responsible.
