Kaleida Health is seeking a Clinical Lab Scientist at OGH Laboratory in Olean, NY. You will receive, order, prepare, and assay lab samples and perform prompt, accurate testing while evaluating, interpreting, and reporting results to the appropriate patient care team.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree verified by the NYS DOE for full licensure as a Clinical Laboratory Technologist, with licensure upon hire or a limited permit followed by full licensure within 9 months; training may commence

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree verified by state DOE as meeting Bachelor's degree requirements for full licensure of a clinical lab technologist required.
• Full Clinical Laboratory Technologist License upon hire required OR laboratory technologist limited permit required not necessarily prior to hire; however, prior to starting, if working with a limited permit, must obtain full licensure within 9 months of hire. If a hired employee meets the NYS DOE qualifications for a limited or full license, the official limited or full license will be delayed at NYS DOE due to processing time, but KHL will allow the employee to start training with a non‑licensed LIS security that does not allow reporting of results. No patient specimens will be able to be tested or reported by the trainee until a limited or full Clinical Laboratory Scientist (Technologist) NYS license is granted and verified by the NYS DOE.

Responsibilities

• To receive, order, prepare, and assay laboratory samples and to perform prompt, accurate, and reliable laboratory procedures on patient specimens as well as to evaluate, interpret, and report test results to the appropriate patient care person.
