Job summary

Olean General Hospital seeks a Clinical Laboratory Technologist to receive, order, prepare, and assay laboratory samples, and to evaluate, interpret, and report test results to the appropriate patient care person.

Educational requirements include a Bachelor's degree verified by the state DOE and full licensure as a Clinical Laboratory Scientist upon hire or a limited permit with a plan to obtain full licensure within 9 months.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree verified by state DOE as meeting degree requirements for full licensure of a clinical lab technologist.
• Full licensure as Clinical Laboratory Scientist (Technologist) upon hire, or limited permit with plan to obtain full licensure within 9 months.
• Licensure timing may be delayed by NYS DOE processing, training allowed with non-licensed LIS security.

Responsibilities

• Receive, order, prepare, and assay laboratory samples and perform procedures on patient specimens.
• Evaluate, interpret, and report test results to the appropriate patient care person.
