Job summary

Memorial Healthcare System in Pembroke Pines, FL, is seeking a Clinical Laboratory Technologist to support our lab teams during night shifts. The role focuses on accurate testing, adherence to quality control procedures, and regulatory compliance to ensure timely, precise patient results.

The candidate will mentor students, supervise staff, and act as Charge Technologist when needed, maintaining high standards of safety and efficiency in a fast-paced lab environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required and Clinical Lab Supervisor License (SU) or equivalent licensure in Florida.
• Minimum of three (3) years’ experience as a Clinical Laboratory Technologist.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision in a stressful environment and maintain accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Serves as resource to laboratory staff and other clinical staff
• Follows procedures for quality control and regulatory compliance; adheres to policies and procedures
• Instructs and observes student technologists when applicable
• Manages resources including productivity, supplies, instruments and equipment
• Plans work and completes responsibilities efficiently
• Performs testing of specimens according to protocol
• Assesses competency of team members
• Reports results timely per protocols
• Serves as Charge Technologist
