Job summary

UF Health Emergency & Urgent Care - Wildwood is seeking a Lead Clinical Lab Tech Generalist to oversee lab testing and quality control across assigned areas. The role requires collaboration with physicians, nursing staff, and hospital leadership to maintain policy and day-to-day operations.

The position emphasizes technical oversight, staff training, and adherence to CLIA regulations, with flexible scheduling and responsibilities across pre- and post-analytical activities.

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree required.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred or 4 years related experience.
• Strong English reading/writing/speaking skills.
• Experience with lab quality control and proficiency testing is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee quality assessment and technical oversight, scheduling, and staff development.
• Assist with SOPs and document control tasks.
• Assess competencies per CLIA regulations as needed.
• Lead training and competency evaluations for staff.
• Perform and supervise complex lab tests with accuracy and efficiency.
