Job summary

Ohio State University University Hospital's Critical Care Laboratory is seeking a Lead Medical Technologist to direct daily chemistry operations and ensure accurate, timely test results in a 24/7 setting.

The role requires MT/MLT certification, hematology expertise, and supervisory skills. You will oversee procedures, staff training, scheduling, and documentation, reporting to the division director and lab manager.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in medical technology or related field with MT/MLT certification.
• MT with 3 years clinical lab experience or MLT with 5 years clinical lab experience.
• Knowledge in hematology and understanding Westgard rules.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs; supervisory experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Direct daily operations of the Chemistry area in the Critical Care Laboratory.
• Perform automated and manual laboratory procedures; verify and report test results.
• Assume administrative duties such as personnel evaluations, procedure writing/implementation, scheduling, training and record keeping.
