Job summary

OSF HealthCare is seeking a Lead Clinical Lab Scientist to oversee routine and complex laboratory testing, establish work priorities, and supervise the lab staff to ensure accuracy and timely results.

The role requires a lab science degree with CLIA experience and certifications, strong analytical and leadership skills, and proficiency with MS Office. Experience supervising a team is preferred.

Qualifications

• Associate degree with 4 years of CLIA lab training/experience or Bachelor's with 2 years of CLIA lab training/experience.
• ASCP/AMT certification required if highest degree is an associate.
• Strong communication, professionalism and leadership under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and direct work of technical personnel in performing routine and complex tests.
• Set priorities, organize, and assign tasks within the laboratory section.
• Ensure validity and accuracy of test results; perform non-routine procedures as needed.
• Lead day-to-day activities and support continuous quality improvement.
