Job summary

MCS Puerto Rico is seeking a qualified supervisor to manage CHRA operations, retrospective projects, and coding processes. You will ensure compliance with procedures and accrediting guidelines while coordinating post-payment audits and referrals with timely delivery.

Responsibilities include supervising staff, delivering scorecard reports, and driving process improvements across IT and operational teams to meet organizational objectives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in health-related areas with four years of experience in diagnosis/procedures extraction and medical record interpretation.
• At least four years in diagnostic coding (inpatient/outpatient) in healthcare settings; minimum one year supervising staff.
• Certification in clinical coding (CCA/CCS/CCS-P) preferred; knowledge of ICD-10-CM, CPT-4, HCPCS.

Responsibilities

• Oversee CHRA post-payment audit process and ensure timely execution.
• Coordinate second-level coding audits and monitor project progress.
• Ensure referral processes are properly distributed and tracked to completion.
• Review coding audits and ensure corrective action plans are implemented.
• Identify risks and coordinate IT or process improvements with management.
• Prepare and deliver scorecard statistics within established timelines.
• Supervise and train staff to meet work plans and policies.
