Job summary

Davey Tree Expert Company in Cleveland, OH seeks a Foreman/Foreperson to lead an arborist crew in delivering professional tree care and utility-line clearance services. The role is on-site, outdoors, and involves supervising crew members, directing climbing operations, and ensuring safety in daily tasks.

The position focuses on canopy pruning, risk assessment, equipment maintenance and on-the-job training through the Davey Career Development Program.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Driver's license required; CDL preferred but not required.
• Love of the outdoors.
• Must complete Davey Tree Orientation Program on hire.
• Must complete Davey Tree First Aid, CPR and defensive driving courses on hire.
• Licenses/certificates for pesticides (preferred).
• ISA TCIA certifications (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Lead a crew safely to provide arboricultural care.
• Pruning, thinning and removal of deadwood in the canopy.
• Install cables, bracing and lightning protection systems.
• Remove hazardous trees.
• Mentor crew members through the Career Development Program.
• Maintain and operate tools and equipment including chainsaws, chippers, aerial lifts.
• Collaborate as part of a crew with Groundmen and Trimmer/Climber.
