Job summary

Inter-American Development Bank seeks a Sector Manager to lead the Climate Change and Sustainable Development Sector in Washington, DC. You will head a multidisciplinary team, oversee sector policies, and direct research, knowledge dissemination, and program implementation to advance biodiversity, climate resilience, housing, and sustainable cities across borrowing member countries.

The role requires a Master’s degree (Ph.D.

Qualifications

• Master's degree or equivalent advanced degree in Sustainable Development, Environmental Sciences, Economics, Public Policy, Engineering, Urban Development, or related fields.
• Candidates with a Ph.D. are preferred.
• English proficiency is required; Spanish and other languages are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and manage a multidisciplinary team across Washington, D.C. and country offices.
• Oversee policy, strategy, and program development in climate, biodiversity, disaster risk management, housing and urban development, and sustainable cities.
• Advise senior management on strategies and guidelines related to climate and sustainable development.
