Job summary

The Kroger Family of Companies is seeking a Store Operations associate in Chicago to help maintain pricing documentation accuracy and uphold the company’s values of respect, honesty, integrity, diversity, inclusion, and safety.

You will check in and test vendor scans, maintain weekly ad items, and handle store-wide housekeeping and reporting tasks to ensure efficient operations and compliance. Flexibility across shifts, including weekends and holidays, is required.

Qualifications

• Able to tactfully & calmly handle stressful situations and make a positive impression on associates and customers.
• Understanding of all key components of department operations (i.e., managing people, merchandising, inventory management, shrink control, customer services, labor scheduling, expense control, etc.).
• Past work record reflects dependability and integrity.
• Knowledge of applicable laws and regulations related to employment practices, OSHA compliance, etc.

Responsibilities

• Check in and test scan all vendors.
• Maintain weekly ad item in scanning file.
• Housekeep computer room, check filters, sweep/mop floor, test battery backups, and monthly power fail simulation.
• Copy PLU File twice a week.
• Maintain documentation on all retail accounting.
• Test scan entire store every six to eight weeks.
• Maintain Special Report File (A.C. Nielsen, Sami, Special Item Movement Report).
• Promote and implement company initiatives and process improvements to direct reports in a positive manner.
• Perform any and all duties as assigned.
• Maintain flexibility to work mornings, afternoons, evenings, nights; willing and available to work weekends and holidays as needed.
• Must be able to perform the essential functions of this position with or without reasonable accommodation.
